Hey, I'm Alexa
Wellness isn't about being perfect — it's about being intentional. That's the heart of everything I write here at Living Life as a Birch.
All About Me
I'm a Clinical Psychology doctoral student at Loma Linda University, and I created this blog as a space to explore what it truly means to thrive — mind, body, and spirit. Here, you'll find honest, research-informed insights on vegan living and nutrition, mindful movement and fitness, mental and emotional wellness, spiritual growth, and the relationships that shape us.
My approach to wellness isn't one-size-fits-all, and it's definitely not all-or-nothing. I believe sustainable health is built through small, meaningful choices — not massive overhauls or starting over every Monday. My goal is to meet you where you are, and help you build a life that actually feels good to live in.
Beyond the blog, I've loved writing my whole life — from short stories and poems as a kid, to being published by the American Library of Poetry, to writing on platforms like Wattpad and TeenInk. This space brings all of that together: my passion for writing, my training in psychology, and my lived experience as a vegan, a believer, a fitness enthusiast, and a human still figuring it out.
